The San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF) is the oldest and most comprehensive HIV/AIDS service organization in Bexar County and 11 surrounding South Texas counties, founded in 1986. SAAF provides free HIV and STI testing six days a week, PrEP access, case management, behavioral health counseling, outpatient clinical care, a 365-day-per-year hot meals program (Cafe SAAF), transitional housing, oral health referrals, and HIV prevention education serving more than 15,000 students annually. SAAF is a critical pillar of the San Antonio LGBTQ+ community’s health infrastructure.
