Alamo City Flag Football League: Fall 2026 Registration, Key Dates and Ref Volunteers
Registration for the Alamo City Flag Football League's Fall 2026 Local League closes Sept. 4: $65 for players and $25 for non-playing members at ACFFL.org. Week 1 games are Sept. 26, and the league is looking for volunteer referees.
Fiesta Youth's Fall 2026 Weekly Programs
Fiesta Youth's free weekly programs for fall meet at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1761 NW Loop 410: young adults (18-24) on Mondays, youth (grades 6-12) on Tuesdays, parents and caregivers every other Tuesday, kids on Saturdays and the Sitting Ducks robotics team on Sundays.
Living Positive San Antonio Moves Its Weekly Meeting to Tuesdays Starting Sept. 1
Starting Sept. 1, 2026, Living Positive San Antonio (LPSA) meets on Tuesdays, with doors at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m., in the auditorium at Woodlawn Pointe, 702 Donaldson Ave. Thursday meetings continue through Aug. 27.

Aug. 20 Is Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is Aug. 20. The South accounts for more than half of new HIV diagnoses in the U.S., and BEAT AIDS and the Texas Black Women's Health Initiative are marking the day in San Antonio with a call to get tested, ask about PrEP and end the stigma.
Diablos OutSports Fall Volleyball 2026 Registration
Registration for Diablos OutSports Association's Fall Volleyball 2026 leagues is open. The Monday night league plays Oct. 26 to Dec. 7 and the Sunday rec league Oct. 25 to Dec. 6, both at Sideliners Grill. Early bird registration runs Aug. 19 to Sept. 2, and regular registration Sept. 3 to Oct. 2.

The Big Give 2026, South Texas' 24-hour online giving day, runs from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. The Esperanza Peace & Justice Center's goal is $26,000 for its cultural programming and community organizing.
Bonham Exchange Closes Temporarily on Aug. 1 for Fire-Suppression Work, Plans to Reopen Later This Year
The Bonham Exchange closed temporarily at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 1, 2026, while a fire-suppression system is installed throughout the building. The club expects the work to take four to five months and plans to reopen later this year with a new sound system and ballroom floor. Its regular nights are paused until then.
Club 727 Closes After Its Final Night on Aug. 1
Club 727, the LGBTQ+ bar and nightclub at 1812 N. Main Ave. formerly known as Club Silver, held its final night Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026. Its regular nights have been taken off our calendar.
Esperanza's Día de Muertos Art Competition: Submit by Sept. 6
The Esperanza Peace & Justice Center's 2026 Día de Muertos Art Competition is taking original work that reflects Día de Muertos on the Westside. Entries are due Sept. 6.
Public Art in the Pride Cultural Heritage District — Community Survey
City Council District 1 and the San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture are seeking community input on a new public art installation for the Pride Cultural Heritage District. Take the survey by July 31.
SAAF Run/Walk 2026 Registration Is Open
Registration is open for the San Antonio AIDS Foundation's SAAF Run/Walk, a 5K run and 2-mile walk at Martin Luther King Park on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. Entry is $35, or $30 per person for teams of 10 or more.
San Antonio Pride Softball League: 2026 Summer Open Division Registration
The San Antonio Pride Softball League is taking registration for its 2026 Summer Open Division, with upper (C and D) and lower (E) divisions. Games are Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 2 to Sept. 13, at Normoyle Fields. The fee is $55, and registration closes July 31.

Peaches & Cream, a San Antonio Pride Softball League team, is raising money to play in the Women's Pride Softball World Series in Tucson, Arizona, with a $10 raffle. Two winners are drawn July 13.
